REPORT CARDS GO HOME on October 14
Recognition Day is October 21 at 9:00 for fourth grade
WRITING DFA TEST for 1st Nine Weeks COMPLETED
Fourth graders will take the FSA Writing test this spring. Each nine weeks, we will take a practice test called the Writing DFA
to help us prepare for the the FSA Writing test this spring. We are frequently working on our writing skills in class.
BIOPHILIA FIELD TRIPS
The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center in Freeport provides a wonderful experience for fourth grade students to study natural science using hands-on exploration and experiments. Students need to wear comfortable clothes for hiking and outdoor activities, long pants and closed toed shoes are suggested as we will be walking through the woods. Sunscreen and insect spray should be applied at home before the field trips. Remember your lunch and waterbottle. Parent chaperones are welcome.

MATH CLUB FOR FOURTH GRADERS
Math club students are already hard at work investigating mathematics and STEM ideas. From building toothpick bridges to
participating in the World's Mathematics Game, our fourth grade math club will be learning
high level mathematics concepts this year.
SAFETY PATROL
Our first group of safety patrol students are learning to raise and lower the United States flag and the Floriday flag.
They are also assisting with Primary car-rider drop off in the morning and helping students in the cafeteria
during breakfast. These students were chosen by the PE department because they are hard-working and responsible.Here are the September-December Safety Patrol members:
